Why I Chose Law as a Profession

After graduating from college with a degree in Business Administration from Memphis State University (University of Memphis), I immediately started to work as a financial advisor in Memphis, Tennessee. As part of this employment, I obtained a Series 7 license and Variable Life Insurance license. Eventually I navigated away from finance and toward a career in insurance claims. For several years, I worked as a claims adjuster in the area of personal injury. While handling complex injury claims both in and out of litigation, I learned the art of case evaluations and developed some understanding of the legal process. This drove my interests to law and my entrepreneurial spirit.  After spending four years in night law school in Nashville, Tennessee, I had finally reached a position where I would eventually be able to be self-employed.
